BYD to sell F3DM with 'blue label' on Dec. 15
































BYD announced its latest flagship model F3DM will hit the 
market on December 15. The electric hybrid model will be 
attached with a new blue BYD label, which is specially 
design for BYD new energy car models, Beijing News said, 
citing sources of BYD Auto.Recently, the F3DM has been 
approved for production and sale by China's Ministry of 
Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) - the state 
regulator of China's auto industry.DM stands for Dual Mode, 
and refers to the combination of an electric drive system 
and a hybrid system, BYD Auto explained. The automaker 
is offering drivers the choice of being able to either refuel 
the hybrid system or simply plug the vehicle into any 220 
volt electrical outlet to recharge the battery for the car’s 
electric motor.BYD says the car could reach 160km/h 
when running in the hybrid mode.F3DM might be priced 
at around 150,000 yuan ($21,897), said BYD General 
Manager Xia Zhibing.
